Alexis Mabille’s man is at a crossroads. On one hand, he values the classic standbys, but at the same time he is ready to accept the modern age. His attempt at blending the two elements results in Mabille’s second Parisian showing that offers both style and relative shock value. Creating an array of sophisticated looks updated with the addition of leggings, Mabille goes the extra mile to showcase what his man is wearing under all those clothes. Equipped with sock garters and suspenders for the ideal undergarment accessories, Mabille’s man is provocative, but at the surface, a representation of the modern evolution of luxury. Pushing forward, luxe fabrics still hold a certain importance, but Mabille shows a particular fashion sense that is more about adding special details to the ordinary garments that suit everyday life.

Kohei Yoshiyuki

During the 1970s photographer Kohei Yoshiyuki prowled the parks of Tokyo at night armed with a 35mm camera, infrared film and flash. His images reveal the hidden Tokyo, couples and groups freed from the constraints of life by the blanket cover of night. Clandestine trysts, onlookers hiding in bushes and those moved to participate are captured by his camera.

Each park, it seems, had its area of specialization. The pictures Yoshiyuki shot between 1978 and 1979, focusing on homosexual encounters, unfold amid wide-open vistas. The slim young men and the trees they lean against while cruising, groping, or otherwise enjoying the attentions of (sometimes multiple) companions form a series of coolly elegant verticals.

Before the art duo Pierre et Gilles, before fashion photographer David LaChapelle, before the artist Jeff Koons, and before the neo-Pop movement broke, there was director James Bidgood and his film PINK NARCISSUS

Released as a work by "Anonymous", "Pink Narcissus" was the creation of a New York theatrical costume designer and physique photographer named James Bidgood, who filmed the entire production in his apartment over a period of seven years starting in 1964; finally, tiring of his relentless tinkering with the footage he had created with no finished product to show for it, his producers edited the film themselves and released it in 1971. (Bidgood demanded that his name be taken off the credits as a result, and its true authorship was not revealed until nearly thirty years after its release.)

His captivating and poignant pencil drawings have traveled the world in a series of successful exhibitions and have been published in some of the most celebrated avant-garde magazine. The ultimate testimonial to his talent was the commission by Calvin Klein to illustrate an advertising campaign in 2004. Charles ethereal and often nostalgic collections are born of the desire to capture the beauty of the 19th century Victorian images, which have captivated him since childhood. Reminiscent of the demi-couture, which was the zeitgeist of this period for young ladies, Charles signature silhouettes evoke a naivety but yet are executed with the precision of the tailors of Saville Row.

I just love how Mrs. Miuccia Prada's influences include some amazing musicians and artiest. In 2006 she collaborated with CocoRosie for the animated film Trembled Blossoms soundtrack. The films art was done by James Jean who was commissioned to create the Fairy illustration for the house. Now for S/S 2010 Miu Miu is Working with legendary POP artist John Wesley on prints. If only Miu Miu did Men's!!!
